Starting the weekend off right
Josie and I met up with Andrew and Colin for an early breakfast, then hung out at our house until Josie's nap. Colin is saying a lot of new words and he likes giving Jo-Jo hugs! Jeanne Marie and her corgi, Skillet, also stopped by, and the kids had a blast playing with the puppy dog. Why are babies and dogs so cute?!!!

Lunch with Gma and Papa
Josie and I visited with G-Gma and Papa in Sacramento today. We had a yummy bento lunch (well, Josie had peaches, avocado, and applesauce, and oatmeal... it will be a little while until Japanese bento is on her menu). Josie had a fun time bouncing on Gma's lap and exploring the house, now that she can crawl around.

Hanging out with Max
Tracy and Max stopped by to visit on Saturday and Josie and Max had a good time hanging out together. Max loved playing with the big yoga ball (he remembered it from last time).
Sometime that day, we gave Josie an ice cube wrapped in terry cloth to suck on for teething. Max saw it and said he wanted one, too. After a couple tries, he didn't seem to understand why she liked it so much.

Good Eating
This video shows Josie enjoying a meal and humming with delight after every bite. Mm-Mm-Mmm!
And she's off....
Josie knows what she wants and goes for it... She set out on a grand expedition this weekend, leaving her play area in the kitchen office, crawling across the vast and treacherous hardwood floor, and finally touching shore at the living room play area at the front of the house. Soon, she'll leave us in the dust.

Crawling, continued....
She's getting the hang of it now, but it seems that she's eager to move beyond crawling even before she's mastered the skill. She likes to launch herself forward, or throw herself over things, and she's definitely eager to pull herself up to standing, but she doesn't quite yet have the coordination to do any of those things without face-planting or bonking her head. We have a very ambitious little girl!
