Racing Cars with Uli

Wheels on the Bus

Josie is definitely singing a lot more... ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, Old MacDonald, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and of course the Elmo Song. She likes to do the hand motions to "Wheels on the Bus" - check out this video:

Yoga Poses

We taught Josie a few yoga moves, and she loves doing it. She learned "tree" pose from her cousin Colin. As you can tell from this video, she is still working on the meditative focus...

Almost big enough...

Brunch at the Ferriers

We enjoyed hanging out with the extended Ferrier/Doi family, including Josie's great-grandparents over the Labor Day weekend.

Josie and Colin had a blast playing with the water and dirt outside. Galoshes are truly a great invention!

The monkey box made a great place to sit!

Road

Scrapwood makes a great pretend road. Later, the little gaps became side access gates for shortcuts in and out.

At one point, she only allowed crawling or backwards travel on the road.

Then, you had to hug the garage door at the start of the course. Very funny. Of course, she narrates most of this with words, which just blows me away! She's growing up so fast.

Head & Shoulders, Knees & Toes, Knees & Toes

Josie loves this song! She thinks it's hilarious if you do it really fast (as discovered by Carolyn and Kathryn a couple of weeks ago). In fact, now she won't tolerate it any other way.

"I cook!"

Josie loves to pretend to cook- especially while Mama is cooking. She "chops" vegetables and mixes up pretend eggs. She shakes pretend salt with the empty spice containers. Most things need to go into the pretend oven (shelf in the office area). When they are "weddy" she pulls them out and says, "Hot!"

Green Thumb

Josie can' get enough of the garden- especially watering. Not necessarily watering the plants and grass, but the dirt, the rocks, the concrete... The watering can is pretty cool, but the hose is way more fun!
