We got a great new play stove at the consignment toy store down the street. It's not that big, but does the trick. She uses the cardboard box under the table for the oven. We also got some more wooden bowls, tea cups, and pots/pans for serving and mixing. Josie loves to pretend cook and now she finally has her own "range." Soup and eggs are her specialty, but she has also been know to make hot water, pasta (perhaps related to the hot water?), rice, and pancakes. Here she's posing by the new kitchen area, and she's showing the animal lineup how tasty her tea is.

West Office Picnic in Grass Valley
We joined the West Office folks at the company picnic at Andy's ranch in Grass Valley a few weeks ago. It was wonderfully warm and Josie was in heaven with all the dogs, sheep, and cattle.
We finally got around to posting some pictures. See link below:

Wheels on the Bus
Josie is definitely singing a lot more... ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, Old MacDonald, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and of course the Elmo Song. She likes to do the hand motions to "Wheels on the Bus" - check out this video:
Yoga Poses
We taught Josie a few yoga moves, and she loves doing it. She learned "tree" pose from her cousin Colin. As you can tell from this video, she is still working on the meditative focus...

Brunch at the Ferriers
Road
Scrapwood makes a great pretend road. Later, the little gaps became side access gates for shortcuts in and out.

At one point, she only allowed crawling or backwards travel on the road.

Then, you had to hug the garage door at the start of the course. Very funny. Of course, she narrates most of this with words, which just blows me away! She's growing up so fast.

Head & Shoulders, Knees & Toes, Knees & Toes
"I cook!"
Josie loves to pretend to cook- especially while Mama is cooking. She "chops" vegetables and mixes up pretend eggs. She shakes pretend salt with the empty spice containers. Most things need to go into the pretend oven (shelf in the office area). When they are "weddy" she pulls them out and says, "Hot!"
