Josie is fascinated by the alphabet and currently obsessed with practicing writing letters. We are so impressed! I think she was inspired by the Curious George alphabet story. She has the concept down, but gets frustrated when she thinks she's not getting it right. Her favorites so far are "J" (which she does upside down and backwards) and "O" (which is the same upside down and backwards... so hard to know which orientation she's intending). She's also consistently able to write C, D, E, H, I, M, P, S, T, W, and X. Again, sometimes sideways or backwards, but definitely recognizable. She likes to do the word games in her activity books, so we look for letters and words together, like in this pic.
She has also started to "read" her own books at bedtime. Pretty nonsensical most of the time- kind of like a regurgitated mix of all of the stories she's ever heard, but so cute. Here she is reading a story to Evie:
