We had our last camping trip of the 2013 summer/fall season a couple of weeks ago in Portola Redwoods State Park. Turned out to be miserably cold at night and in the morning (wish we had been a little more prepared) which thankfully seemed to have killed off nearly all the mosquitos in the woods. Among the highlights of the weekend:
- Celebrated Sarah's 2nd birthday by making crowns and eating cupcakes- Visited a pumpkin patch
- Drove to the beach (where it was HOT), chased waves and watched surfers

Bundled up in the tent
It was THIS cold
Josie hels Evie go down the slide at the pumpkin patch
Lunchtime at the pumpkin patch
Cinderella pumpkins - so cool
Josie tackles one of the play structures
Evie kept saying "hi" to this gorilla sculpture and wanted to hold his hand
Josie's 1st pony ride
Evie would have dove into the waves, if we didn't hold her back!

Evie lounging by herself....
Exploring the forest playground
