Rock Star

Josie's rockin' this outfit from Auntie Katie and Uncle Andrew. She's paired it with some high-top converse socks... so hip!

Parchment Paper

Parchment paper is a real treat for Josephine (it's food grade!). She likes crinkling it, ripping it, chewing it, and drooling on it. I guess she's easy to please... at least most of the time. :)

Independence Day in Sacramento

We spent the day with the Ferriers, visiting Papa and Gma in Sacramento.

It was almost 100 degrees outside, so it was a perfect day for the kiddie pool. As you can see, Josie experimented with a few new hairdos... The aerodynamic rear flame was a favorite, as was the pseudo-sumo look.

Construction Done!

Our last window replacement is complete! We're still painting the room (the right color has been elusive....), but it's great to have the room opened up again and be able to use the front door again.

Baby BBQ

We invited our new parent friends over for a barbeque yesterday and the back deck was teaming with babies! Stella was by far the "baby" of the group at only 6 weeks old! At 18 months, Colin was practically old enough to sit at the adult table. :)

Time to infill our deck railing... Josie's almost ready to crawl!

Josie & Molly

Auntie Kathryn's dog Molly came to visit the other day and Josie was enthralled. They sat together outside in the back and Josie patted her fur and tried to grab her face. Love at first sight!

Splashing Around

Now that she can sit up on her own, Josie is enjoying splashing in the tub. And, getting everything around her wet in the process. Looks like we'll have to move her from the sink to the bathroom if we want to stay dry...

Jumping Josie

Josie's loving her new "Jump-n-Go" bouncer/jumper seat. I think I get a work out just watching her!

Playing with Grandma

Josie is having a great time this weekend playing with Grandma. They play on the floor, they play with Josie standing up, and she helps Josie sit up too. Grandma has taught Josie patty-cake and kisses. What a lucky girl!

Pool Time

We pumped up the inflatable kiddie pool for Josie's first skinny dip on this hot weekend. She stretched out, rolled, and turned in two inches of water. She could sit up in the water, with an adult's hand ready to catch any unsteady topples. She was surprised a few times when she put her head down and got a wet face. We showed her how to splash (creating a monster?) and she did her first open-palm splashing. (Just like shaking the rattle, but in a pool with no rattle.) We discovered that she preferred the pool on a slope, with a "deep end" and a dry beach opposite. We're looking forward to more unseasonably warm days in Albany. She's gaining physical ability so quickly, we can't wait to see what her next "swimming" session is like.
