We attempted our first camping trip with Josie this weekend. We drove down to Henry Coe State Park outside of San Jose and met up with another family for a one-night trip. It was crazy hot when we arrived, but thankfully cooled down that evening. Josie got a gold star for sleeping through the night in a makeshift porta-bed/co-sleeper in the tent with us. We did a short hike through grassy fields and oak forests the next day (Dan was our flora guide), and though it was still pretty hot, she did really well. We hope this is just the first of our many outdoor adventures together!
