Summer in September

This weekend was a full of fun in the sun, with the summer weather gripping onto the precipice of fall.

Hayashi Picnic
We drove directly into the heart of the heat wave on Saturday, but for good reason. We got together with the Hayashi side of the family in Sacramento for a potluck at Witter Ranch Park. There were about 30 of us there, kids, babies and dogs, and all. Josie was glad to get into the air-conditioned car for a good nap on the way home.

Cooling Off
After getting back to our warm stuffy house, we go out the kiddie pool for Josie to chill out a bit. She got excited just watching Dad blow it up on the deck. She was also able to supervise his work in the garden and do a little quality control (taste testing) on the zucchini.

West Office Picnic
Sunday, we headed out to Buckeye Point near San Rafael, for more outdoor socializing and yummy picnic fare, this time for Lisa's office picnic. Again, kids, babies, and very cute dogs. Josie was thoroughly entertained...

Later that day, Zizi and Boppa babysat so Mom and Dad could go out for a baby-free dinner with friends. What a great way to end a whirlwind weekend!
